Arrest re Shooting incident Limerick 11th July, 2017.

Gardaí in Roxboro Road, Limerick have arrested a man (late 20s) in connection with the shooting incident that occurred on the southside of Limerick city this afternoon, Tuesday 11th July, 2017 at approximately 3pm. An injured man (mid 30s) was brought to University Hospital Limerick with apparent gunshot wounds and his condition is described as serious.

The arrested man is currently detained at Roxboro Road Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.

Investigation is ongoing.
